Family Tennis Holidays
We have a range of packages that are available during the school holidays for our family tennis players. Each is designed to help you maximise out your time both on court and off court and is carefully thought out so that you can meet other players and their children in resort too.
Our suggested Family Tennis Package for 2017 is based on everyone in the family taking part in our group coaching programme. These classes start at 9am and run for 2 hours each morning from Monday to Friday. Adults are encouraged to sign up to our Tennis Holiday coaching course which covers different aspects of learning the game including footwork development, technical skills and building tactical awareness.
Junior players aged 4-13yrs are encouraged to join our Tennis Camp programme which is hosted at the same time (9am-11am). This course runs from Monday to Friday and divides players into 3 different categories according to their standard of play and age - Little Hitters (ages 4-7yrs); Junior Camp (ages 8-10yrs); and Development Camp (ages 11-13yrs). During Tennis Camp, all our juniors will be encouraged to have fun in their learning time on court and receive advice on their strokes, footwork and learning the key rules of the game.
Later in the afternoon, our Teenage Tennis Camp runs from 2pm-4pm (times may vary). The late start time seems to suit our players aged (13-17yrs) and the camp is run with an aim to improve play but encourage social skills and self motivation on court.
All our family packages include 5* accommodation at your choice of hotel or apartments on site. The packages can also feature transfer services, board upgrades, further sports activities such as spa or golf rounds. Each package is created on a bespoke basis but here are some guidelines for a family package of 4 people:

Each week is different at the Annabel Croft Tennis Academy but here is a general feel for the weekly programme that is in place during our family weeks which track the UK school holidays. This programme takes place only at Annabel Croft Tennis Academy destinations. Other recommended destinations offer their own coaching programmes which focus mainly on private tennis tuition.
Sunday (arrival day):
All players are invited to attend our Tennis Welcome session on Sunday afternoon where you can meet our coaching team, have your game assessed and go through your bookings for the week. During this session you can also see what is on offer for the week ahead such as prospective adult and junior tournaments, family competitions and fun events.
The first day of your coaching camps is always very exciting! We ask all our players to arrive a little early to get prepared and then everyone takes to the courts to learn our academy warm ups for the week ahead. We tend to encourage the adults to stretch a little more than the kids! Initial coaching classes cover footwork routines and basic shot making but every players is asked to hit balls right from the start to maximise your hitting time.
Your second day on court focuses heavily on serve and return situations for our older players and introduces the service action to our younger players. This tuition leads on to more rally based play and point scoring games depending on each players level.
Day three introduces situations of play with attention given to attacking skills (moving forwards and volleying) and defensive skills (court coverage and passes/lobs). Our younger players are likely to be encouraged to learn the differences in swing shapes when playing from different parts of the court,
Social Tennis Evening is hosted by one of our tennis professionals for all older junior players and adults. Players are encouraged to come and meet some resident players, join in some light hearted competitive play and exchange tennis stories over a drink afterwards.
Our coaching clinics continue with coaching centred on groundstrokes and patterns of play. Learn how to build a rally with more consistency or develop your awareness of key patterns in a game of singles.
Our junior tennis tournaments run for players aged 10&U, 14&U and 18&U. See if you can become a champion and take home a great trophy.
The last day of clinics feature some advice on speciality shots, further tactical advice but most importantly allow time to go over some key areas that need to be remembered in order to maintain each players progress. The end of each class also covers some of our favourite coaches challenge - look out for Cookie Tennis, its become quite famous!
We run a family tennis tournament on Friday afternoons each week that players can participate in with a choice of combinations. Players must be related to sign up but there is no age limit and our coaches always help make sure the standards are equal for each of our categories. Following our tournament we host a unique coaches challenge and presentation ceremony where our players of the week are announced and asked to take a bow.
